Shot over three years in the USA, England, India and New Mexico, Garbage Warrior is a feature- length documentary film telling the epic story of maverick architect Michael Reynolds, his crew of renegade house builders fron New Mexico, and their fight to introduce radically different ways of living. A snapshot of contemporary geo-politics and an inspirational tale of triumph over buereaucracy, Garbage Warrior is above all an intimate portrait of an extraordinary individual and his dream of changing the world!

When I'm not at work, I'll have to watch the trailer. Seems like I've heard about this guy in the not-to-distant past.

Thanks for the link! Sometimes I wish we didn't have such stringent building codes here. It certainly opens up a lot of possibilities when you can build with what you have.

It's all about the $$ ! I feel that in a truly FREE country ones neighbor should be able to build anything on land he owns if it poses no health or safety threat . But just you try it ... all of your neighbors will fear "property devaluation " . One of my neighbors ask me if I would mind if he built a "shed " to park his motor home under . I told him " James it is your land you can build a home out of car tags if you want , I will not say a thing . However not all here feel the same ... someone reported him to the state for some reason and a state Insp. paid a visit . What a world we live in always someone sticking their nose where it is NOT needed !

        well..he was building developments..

        and manymany buildings..

but he was experimenting too...trying to find.. the best way to do things

        he was great..

I really hope you folks get a chance to watch this film..

        he is in Taos ..NM

        his dwellings are beautiful too....

and self substainable...even in the coldest of winters.. he hardly has to put his heat on..

he even has banana trees growing inside his solarium...
