I want to live off-grid, produce my own power, plant gardens and raise my own food, and live in a simple, natural stone house, for my own reasons of emotional health, pace of life and a lifestyle I want, simplicity and financial independence among a plethora of other reasons.

The fact that it is considered 'green' is totally coincidental and inconsequential to me. I don't believe humans are any measurable contribution to global warming. I don't believe we have the ability to destroy this planet. But I understand there is alot of money and power incentive for governments to convince their sheeple masses that such things exist. I recycle because it saves money. Same reason for owning a 100mpg motorcycle. That's it.
